Ben Poirier is a Managing Partner at MSIG and is responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the firm’s short-term and long-term strategies, as well as creating and implementing the firm’s vision and mission.

Ben oversees the firm’s risk management by maintaining an acute awareness of prevailing market conditions. Ben manages the firm’s investment professionals, portfolios and ongoing investment activities and, alongside Zac, directs the firm’s investment strategies and verticals.

Ben has overseen the origination, structuring, execution and management of over 85 direct real estate equity joint ventures with a portfolio value of $6+ billion.

Prior Experience

Prior to forming MSIG, Ben was a Principal and Investment Committee Member at Township Capital, a Los Angeles-based real estate private equity firm. Ben oversaw the firm’s investment professionals and activities and was actively involved in all capital raising functions across several investment funds and separately managed accounts.

Ben previously held positions at JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM), Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group (NYSE: BAC) and Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS).

Education

Ben received a B.S. with a concentration in Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, MA.
