Kris Shepherd

Associate, Investments

Kris Shepherd is an Associate on MSIG’s investment team and is primarily responsible for the diligence, market research, and financial analyses of prospective investments across the firm’s verticals.

Kris is actively involved in all facets of MSIG’s investment process and works closely with the firm’s senior investment professionals, investment committee, and asset management team throughout the lifecycle of MSIG’s portfolio.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining MSIG, Kris was a Credit Analyst on the Real Estate Banking team at City National Bank in Los Angeles, CA. Kris was responsible for the financial analyses and due diligence of prospective commercial real estate loans as well as the ongoing monitoring of balance sheet facilities.

Prior to City National, Kris was in the rotational program at Ares Management Corporation in Los Angeles, CA where he worked with the firm’s direct lending, liquid credit, and real estate equity groups.

Education

Kris received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
