Developers Reveal Plans to Revitalize Former City Place Property
A complete renovation is coming to a large portion of the Downtown Long Beach shopping center formerly known as City Place. The team behind the reimagined development, which was rebranded as Mosaic earlier this year, unveiled its plans for the project to the local community on Thursday evening. Waterford, along with Turnbridge Equities and Monument Square Investment Group, announced the joint acquisition of the shopping district in March 2021.
Former City Place shopping center rebranded again
The shopping center formerly known as City Place—then The Streets and then City Place again—has yet another new name: Mosaic. A name change would be incomplete without new branding, which has been plastered on windows along Fourth Street between The Promenade and Long Beach Boulevard.
